Municipal Court and Criminal - Lance Brown was a former prosecutor for several townships in New Jersey. He has appeared in almost every county throughout New Jersey to help defend against motor vehicle offenses, and criminal charges at the township, State and Federal level. He has bench and jury trial experience and victories and has even won a jury trial where his client was caught on video. Muncipal Court - This is the court where traffic tickets are handled and disorderly person crimes that carry less than 180 days of potential jail time. Some of the more serious charges handled are drug charges and drunk driving. Many of these cases are resolved through plea or alternative method without jail time. Drunk driving in New Jersey is technically a motor vehicle offense rather than a criminal offense but offenders face jail time, of which 2nd and 3rd offenders face mandatory jail time. In New Jersey, you cannot plea bargain a DUI, so we will fight hard to make sure your rights are protected. There are situations where you may have been stopped improperly or the breathalyzer of alcotest used on you did not function properly. In these situations, we may be able to get your charge reduced or thrown out. Superior Court Charges - This is where indictable level offense are heard.
